Ito na! Atty.

In lieu of the visit of Chinese Prime Minister, Xi Jinping, many people have responded to this issue and accuse the President and his administration of treason for the dealings they have been having with China.

During a speech she gave at the Akademiang Filipino’s forum on protecting Philippine sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea, former ombudsman Conchita Morales said that “treason within” will be the country’s downfall.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within," Morales said.

Morales has been out of the public eye since she retired four months ago.

And considering the message she sent to the people, it was clear that even retired, she still lets her voice be heard.

Bloggers see Morales as person committing treason

In a Facebook post, Attorney Trixie Cruz-Angeles recently posted a comment of the statement released by Morales.

Although she did agree that treason will ruin the country, Cruz-Angeles does not understand how dealing with China will lead to this.

For her, it is about public service and the “low standard” set by previous government officials that is treasonous.

Although she did not specify who these people are, it can be concluded that she mean the opposition or the Liberal Party. She accuse them of belittling the Filipino people through the “bad services they have also given. She listed out examples of projects like public toilets, transportation, education and government service to prove their point.

Aside from this, she also said that it seems like with all of these happening, it looks like they are the ones who are treasonous.

"agree naman kami. Salot ang mga traydor. At kilala na namin kayo," she said.

Yung gusto nila tanggapin natin yung kabobohang ginawa sa Yolanda, kasi "they did their best" at "buhay ka pa naman di ba?".

Kaya nya eh.

Kaya madame, agree naman kami. Salot ang mga traydor. At kilala na namin kayo."
